Tianjin BOhua "Two" relocation and transformation PVC project was put into production successfully!

Recently, the 800,000 tons/year PVC relocation and transformation project of Tianjin Bohua, undertaken by China Construction and Installation No. 1 Company, was successfully put into operation, marking the full-scale pilot production of Tianjin Bohua relocation project.

In order to break the "chemical siege" dilemma, in 2018, Tianjin municipal government fully implemented the relocation strategy of "two industrialization" and built a comprehensive chemical base in Nangang District, which is sparsely-populated. Cscec has taken over the baton of the overall relocation, transformation and upgrading of the two industries, and helped draw the blueprint for a high-end and green petrochemical base on the coastline of Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone.



The project adopts the green construction method -- ethylene method to produce PVC monomer, which is the largest PVC monomer unit in China, with the world's most advanced Neru drying bed and the largest volume polymerization kettle unit in China. As the core equipment of the project, the lifting process of the polymerization kettle is also complicated. In order to save construction time and avoid the quality hidden trouble of reserved repair, the project team abandoned the conventional side reserved lifting method and ran through the lifting from top to bottom after the completion of the main frame. In addition, because the ground on site is the backfill foundation of coastal beach formed by land reclamation, the soil is very soft, and the bearing capacity cannot meet the requirements of lifting. In order to ensure the safety of construction, the project department organized personnel to backfill and tamp with stone materials, and took steel plate to pave the bottom, to ensure the safety and reliability of the foundation treatment, and only took 4 days to complete the lifting of 16 polymerized reactors.



At the same time, the production of this project involves the storage, transportation, reaction and other processes of high-risk chemicals, which requires high cleanliness of equipment and pipelines. Purging of chemical plant can remove residual impurities in the construction process, eliminate hidden danger of chemical reaction and avoid unnecessary loss, which is an important link before the operation of the plant. In order to improve safety and construction efficiency, the project team carried out steam heating pipe at night, and turned on the purge during the day, which greatly improved the purge efficiency.




"Three years ago, there was not a house or a road on this land. The sea breeze was strong and when it rained you couldn't move." In September 2018, they made the first pile in nangang special tank area, which started the three-year construction road. In January 2021, the PVC project plant was fully lit. In October, B production line was successfully tested and now, a world-class petrochemical base has emerged on the sea.
