CNOOC Ltd starts up Bohai Bay oil play

Chinese offshore operator CNOOC Ltd has achieved first oil at a major field in Bohai Bay offshore China, one of seven offshore fields the company plans to bring on stream this year.
The Kenli 10-1 North block is located in the south of Bohai Sea in an average water depth of 19 metres.
The main facilities include a production platform and two unmanned wellhead platforms, which host 25 development wells comprising 16 production wells and nine water injectors.
