1. The globe valve relies on the stem pressure to make the disc sealing face close to the seat sealing face to prevent the flow of media. It belongs to forced sealed valve.
2. The flow direction of the medium in the globe valve is "low in and high out" and "high in and low out". Only one-way flow of the medium is allowed, and the installation is directional.
3. When the globe valve is opened, the disc opening height reaches 25%-30% of the nominal diameter of the globe valve, the flow rate reaches the maximum, that is to say, the globe valve has reached the full open position.
4. The structure of the globe valve is simpler than that of the gate valve, and it is more convenient to manufacture and maintain.
5. Sealing surface is not easy to wear and scratch, good sealing, no relative sliding between disc and valve body sealing surface when opening and closing, so wear and scratch are not serious, sealing performance is good, long service life.
6. When opening and closing, the disc stroke is small, so the height of the globe valve is smaller than that of the gate valve, but the structural length is longer than that of the gate valve.
7. The opening and closing moment is large and laborious. The disc is always eroded at full opening.
8. The fluid resistance is large, because the valve body medium channel is tortuous, the fluid resistance is big, the power consumption is big.
